Her Day 6

Yesterday was supposed to be Pure Cardio. Since I missed it, I decided to do it this morning. HELLO INSANE WORKOUT! I was proud of myself for getting through the first warm up set, but that was pretty much it. For the next two warm up sets I had to take frequent breaks. The first set of exercises were not too bad for me, of course lots of breaks were needed, but I did get through them all right. I am getting used to suicide drills and was able to make it all the way through, but of course I was out of breath for the next exercise. During the next round of the workout, Shaun T says the speed is what makes it cardio...uh, yeah....to me ALL OF THIS IS CARDIO! I couldn't keep up, so I did the exercises at my own pace. By the time we got to the last round of exercises, which involved push-up jacks, I just cound't do it. I spit out a few girly push-ups just to do something. BUT, it did up my spirits!

I took a look in the mirror before I showered. Maybe it's all psychological, but I do see a bit of a change. My obliques are a little more firm, not quite the soft musiness of post-pregnancy. My upper and lower abs look slightly flatter. The middle portion is still protruding where the baby blew it out, but I am sure that too will firm up soon. I have lost half a pound since I started and I am feeling good.

I have not mentioned food in this blog yet. I know to shed the fat you have to take in less calories than you expend. I want to do this and am doing it, but as a breastfeeding mommy, I have to take caution that I don't expend too many calories too quickly. Kind of sucks bc I want to loose the rest of these 10 lbs quickly, but at the same time, it's for the benefit of my daughter. The foods that are listed in the book are actually quite good. Not as flavorful as going out to a restaurant where everything is smothered in butter and spices, but still better than some of the food diets I have tried.

I haven't quite decided if I will do the workout that was ment for today, " Plometric Cardio Circuit" which is what we did for day 1. I want to stay on schedule as best I can. Maybe since tomorrow is that actual day off, I will get to it tonight...as long as I am not too tired from this morning's work out.
