Her Day 3

Cardio Power and Resistance Day kicked my butt. I had to rest quite a bit during the warm ups and the a lot more during the actual work out. Maybe it had to do with the hectic day I had. Maybe it was because I didn't eat all the meals I should have. Maybe I am just THAT out of shape, but this one was hard. During the warm up there some squats that we had to do. With the first one I could feel the stiffness and weakness in my left quad. I knew already I would be in trouble. For each of the resistance exercises, I had to rest at some point, but with each round got better at them, with one exception...the Round the World Squats. I barely did any. I was trying to catch my breath during the first round, did only one the second round, but actually pushed myself to get three in for the last round. It was hard, I was tired, but I did it and am very happy I did. The second set of resistance exercises dealt with the upper body, and since I have no upper body strength, I found them to be really difficult. I am getting better with the push ups. They are still girly, but I can do more and have better form, but I have a long way to go yet. I barely did triceps work. I could have and should have pushed it out and done more, but I kind of took a rest. Not happy about it, but can't dwell on that. The last Cardio Power and Resistance group I actually worked hard on. By this point I was able to catch my breath again and really push it out and I am proud of myself for finishing strong.
